Pull it as tight as you can! But it will stretch out and loosen over time, which is why we put a line tightener on there; when it gets loose you can just pull it tight again. But it doesn’t really matter how tight it is as long as your clothes don’t hit the ground when you hang them. 🙂

I have one question though, How tight does the line have to be?

I used the 5.5” pulleys for this clothesline, but 6.5” would work just fine!

The only good house attachment points would cross a walkway, block windows or be too close to trees. With posts, I can also hang a hammock.

If you want to use hangers on your clothesline, you’ll probably need to use clothespins to keep the hangers from all bunching up together in one place. Or you can just clip the clothes directly to the clothesline with the clothespins!

You can use either! I like cotton line because it’s softer, and thicker so your clothes don’t get a crease in them when they hang over the line. But cotton line can stretch out over time, so you’ll need to keep tightening it.
