Good question! I noticed that too when the sprayer showed up, but I asked my contact at the company and they said it works with all kinds of paint. Personally I haven’t yet had to dilute any paint that I put in the sprayer, but if you do need to dilute something, the sprayer comes with great instructions on exactly how much to dilute and it comes with a funnel for measuring whether or not something is too thick and needs to be diluted!

I followed your link to the sprayer site and it listed it was good for stains, primers etc and other thinner type products but not latex paint.

I used a standard Kilz latex based primer. Any primer will work, just make sure if your paint is oil-based, that your primer is too! And vice versa, latex primer for latex paint. 🙂 I hope you love that sprayer, it’s really awesome!

Thanks for the tutorial. I just bought my HomeRight paint sprayer!

I have a laminate round table that i would like to redo and use for the grandkids. I also have my old bedroom set that I would actually be willing to do if i had a sprayer! Awesome… i am so excited! Thank you for considering me!!!!!

I would restain the tops of both and paint the lower part of the cabinet and the table legs an old or antique white!

I always spray paint outside, but if you don’t want to drag your shelves all the way outside you can lay down a tarp over the floor and one wall and spray inside. Just make sure you open a window and wear a mask so the fumes don’t overwhelm you! But the super nice thing about this specific paint sprayer is that it’s high volume and low pressure which basically means that there is a lot less overspray on the edges of your project. It’s pretty amazing but when I sprayed these tables there was only extra paint about an inch to the left and the right of the actual table, unlike with a can of spray paint where I’ve had about six inches of paint sprayed onto the tarp around my project!

I have laminated shelving that is pretty sturdy but ugly. I really need to get busy and paint it so I can get organized!

I would totally paint some furniture I own. I have a dresser in the master that is UGLY! It is a laminate piece that I have had for probably 20 years. I totally need to get some of that kilz primer and paint it and replace the knobs with something pretty. I’m pinning your tutorial and signing up in your giveaway. Thanks for the giveaway, btw! Hope I win! Hehe! 🙂
